Atlas Obscura and Morbid Anatomy Present Taxidermy Gone Rogue
The Bell House, 149 7th Street, Brooklyn
“Bionic fawns. Jewel-encrusted piglets. Martini-sipping winged monkeys.” Yep, these guys know how to get our attention. This Sunday, Atlas Obscura and Morbid Anatomy bring artist Robert Marbury to the Bell House, where he’ll be our “guide to the denizens of the delightfully macabre world of Rogue Taxidermy.” They’ll celebrate the release of his new book, Taxidermy Art, along with a live taxidermy demonstration, a panel discussion, a performance from the Lucky Chops Brass Band and a look at the “oddity booths” that will be set up along the bar’s perimeter. (Pro Tip: buy your tickets in advance because there are a LOT of people that like to see stuffed dead animals in this city. Also, tickets sell out quickly.)
