Almost Queen: A Tribute to Queen

Highline Ballroom, 431 West 16th Street, Manhattan

We want it all, and we want it all now. What we really want? To see the legendary Freddie Mercury himself at the helm of Queen just one more time. And even though that’s not possible, this Thursday night at the Highline Ballroom we can get the next best thing – a tribute to the legend with a live performance from Almost Queen. The band is dedicated to paying homage to its namesake’s greatest hits, and they’ve got the experience taboot. The members have toured with the likes of Thin Lizzy, Dee Snider, Angel and several Broadway shows.

Satisfaction: The International Rolling Stones Show

Brooklyn Bowl, 61 Wythe Avenue, Brooklyn

Can’t get no satisfaction? Well, it ain’t that hard at this rockin’ tribute. “Satisfaction: The International Rolling Stones Show” swings into town this Thursday from their home base on the Las Vegas Strip. They’ll perform crowd favorites and more, all while showing off their uncanny resemblance to Jagger, Richards and crew. And if that isn’t enough to show ya how rockin’ these guys are, they’ve also started a side project called “Symphony for the Devil,” where they perform with orchestras around the world. Yup, if anyone comes close Jagger’s actual swagger – we’d say it’s these guys.
