This is is serious stuff. Sign-up for the competition begins at 7 p.m. and the first 18 folks to arrive get to play, so be sure to get there early. Project:Theater presents OUR BAR NYC, "Schooled"
Failte Irish Whiskey Bar, 531 2nd Avenue, Manhattan
“So, a guy walks into a bar…” and then Project:Theater makes it into a whole story. The ambling troupe chooses one bar each month, gives it a theme, then acts out 10 scenes that could feasibly happen within its walls. This August, it’s all about goin’ back to school, so bring your booksmarts — or at least knock back a couple cocktails to get the juices flowing. Admission is $10 per person and comes with a free can o’ Bud Light. Pro-tip: if you RSVP ahead of time, you’ll be eligible to win prizes on the day of the show.
