Bollywood Zing is one such real-life fairy tale. After rolling up to Atlanta in Food Truck form in 2013, the folks behind Bollywood Zing have been doing a capitol job of introducing and acclimating Atlantan’s palettes to the endless array of flavors of Indian cuisine. Frankly, we couldn’t get enough of it. Now, after two years, they’ve settled themselves into an outpost in Smyrna, where they’ll be serving up all of the favorites we’ve come to know and love them for, along with some delectable new offerings that just wouldn’t fly on the fly. We can barely contain ourselves, we’re so excited.
The intimate space makes for the perfect spot to chow down on the samosas, curries, and biryanis we’ve become so addicted to. But with a permanent, bigger kitchen and ample seating comes plenty of culinary opportunities, and the folks of Bollywood Zing are making the most of it. Yup, you guessed it – they’ve got quite a buffet in the house, bubbling and steaming with all the freshly prepared Indian classics we could hope for. They’ve also introduced a slew of other delicacies: Medhu Vada, savory donuts made from fried lentils and served up fresh with two different dipping sauces, decadent crispy dosas, not to mention freshly baked naan and roti. Of course our favorite part of a meal at Bollywood Zing is that when we want to spice things up a bit, all we have to do is ask ‘em to “zing it” for us, and they’ll heat things up a bit.
